This machine takes a specialized type of CT scan that combines a rotating X-ray and computerized technology to render a 3D image of teeth and jaw bone. Using this 3D imaging and a specialized lab, dental implants will be digitally guided into the jaw bone for optimal placement.

The X-Mind Prime 3D machine gives our patients cutting edge dental implants. Traditional dental X-rays and panoramics are only two-dimensional images, showing us only the height of the jawbone. This new machine will tell Dr. Olson and Dr. Smith exactly where the jawbone is healthiest and most dense for optimal dental implant placement.
The 3D imaging also gives them a precise location of vital structures, such as nerves and sinus cavities, decreasing the risk of implants damaging those areas. The 3D image will be used by a specialized lab to make a customized implant surgery guide for each patient. This guide will enable accurate, superior dental implant placement for each specific implant.
An Overview of Cone Beam Tomography
This X-Mind Prime 3D takes a special type of CT scan called a Cone Beam Computed Tomography. The cone beam technology offers the following advantages:
